Mathew joined Assured Hotels as Chief Operating Officer in 2010, stepping into the role of Managing Director in November 2018, with over 25 years’ experience in the hotel sector.

More recent projects include larger single-asset and group hotel turnarounds & exits, as lead director for Assured Hotels in both advisory roles, and asset management caseload. This has involved exposure to all types of UK banks, restructuring companies, brokerage agencies, as well as direct appointments with hotel asset owners and investors.

In his earlier career, Mathew held senior Management roles in both large companies and Private Ownership, so he understands the dynamics of managing challenging relationships to achieve positive outcomes for all stakeholders.
