Mathew has been Chief Operating Officer over the past 7 years for Assured Hotels, stepping into the role of Managing Director in November 2018, with over 25 years’ experience in the hotel sector.

More recent projects include larger single asset and group hotel turnarounds & exits, as lead director for Assured Hotels in both advisory roles and full management agreement capacity. This has involved exposure to most of the main UK banks, including HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds, RBS Group and AIB as well as direct appointments with hotel asset owners and investors.

In his earlier career Mathew held senior Management roles in both large companies and under Private Ownership, so understands the dynamics in managing different relationships to positive outcomes for all stakeholders.
